We must remember…
OH my friends, I am so overwhelmed
When you did not respond to me yesterday, just in time, the entire pain came gushing back
I don’t need to see you, you don’t need to hear me, it is long overdue
When the pain set in, you had left without saying goodbye, and now,
Right now, I know what to say, I know what to do..
Someone will pick the money-in-the-bag & trick their own feelings with it or hide
But someone will need to stay with the pain
That pain you remember so deeply, because you’d like to believe you left it all behind when you chose your direction.
We need this pain or we will be lost and we will be tired
We need to remember it for its value & truth
We will forget this pain only when the worldly elements decide we can
Right now we can’t
It is so real that it sets us all apart
So apart we could all divulge in the truth within ourselves, in our own spaces, in our own time
It spoke silently for too long for us to ignore
It took you all around the world and when you came back
I am a drifter only.
Drifter who sat with the pain waiting for an answer in tears and nothing more.
My friends, I am changed by the elements of this pain and disturbed by its truthfulness in describing a lie
The elements of this pain will give the lowest of us, the highest of accolades, only to take it all back in time
But why?
It is up to one to see and decide whether this time is short, long or even enough
It is not possible for me to predict the lengths of my pain because I live with it
But it is possible to say to you now:
We must remember our pain
It is important
We must remember it or we will be tired else,
We must draw on the strengths of it and we must keep it as reference of our lives always
I am not sure how long I want to live but life is shorter when I forget my pain
I have no reason but my pain
It must guide me.
My hair will guide me, my skin & the sound in my feet when I step
You are back from worlds.
And I; a dreamer a friend, a drifter only
