A Gift

Few minutes of fame singing praises & praising the one for her gift
A gift that would ripple & travel both to those who believe & those who don’t
When did you realise that it is God who speaks & not the sweetness of a momentary victory?
When did u believe that it is the spirit in your heart that will pull you through the dangers of the time?
When did you realise that a gift does not realise the body it is in and

When did you realise what other gifts there still are?

The muscle in your arm can be whats right
The beauty in your face can be whats great
The flawlessness in your voice can be whats heard
The birth of your daughter can be whats celebrated & the need to re-unite can be whats necessary

But a gift from God is whats always there

Tremble with your lips when you have it
Walk with the enemy when you see it
Speak with the dead when you believe &
Get wrapped up like a mommy when you protect it
Dance in a blazing fire when you free it and get goose-bumps when you feel it
Because it can deform the pain you see & feel
It can camouflage like the talent of a chameleon &
It can demystify the ugly myth & posses your inner being
In another way
At a different time
In another form

Your gift has killed you before…

That time has come for her once again & her ancestor has appeared to ask what she will do next
And with the grace of this appearance she has once again answered:
“My God, I will cry & change”
